Gallery: Texas A&M University at Galveston Hosts Aggieland Saturday By The Sea
October 16, 2024
On Saturday, October 12, Texas A&M University at Galveston welcomed over 300 prospective students and their supporters for Aggieland Saturday by the Sea.
The event serves as an all-access pass, offering a sneak peek into life as an Aggie and giving prospective students insight into the academic programs available through the College of Marine Sciences and Maritime Studies and Galveston-based College of Engineering programs, along with professional opportunities available through the Texas A&M Maritime Academy.
Attendees met with current students, faculty and staff to learn more about our academic programs through interactive Q&A sessions. Prospective students and their guests also explored the specialized marine and maritime campus, touring residence halls, the maritime academy’s vessel TS Kennedy, ship bridge and engine simulators, the Sea Life Facility and the Galveston harbor aboard one of the university’s research vessels. Guests also dipped their toes into Aggie traditions with a Fightin’ Texas Aggie Yell Practice.
The next Aggieland Saturday by the Sea is February 15th, 2025. You can find more information and register on the admissions website. Registration will open later this year.
