“Keep Learning: Galveston” Resource Site & Virtual Help Desk Available for TAMUG Students
Texas A&M University at Galveston is launching an academic resources website called Keep Learning: Galveston, complete with a virtual help desk, to assist students in the transition to virtual learning as we all navigate the unprecedented events unfolding as a result of coronavirus and COVID-19.
Resources available to students via the site include tutoring, academic advising and coaching, a virtual help desk, library services, technology support, enrollment services, helpful links to Counseling, Career & Ability Services information, and more.
“With all the chaos going on at this time, we are well aware that our students are facing a wide range of challenges. Shifting from in-person to remote learning can be academically difficult even at the best of times, let alone in these less-than-ideal circumstances. We hope that we can make this as smooth a transition as possible for every student,” said Seibel Learning Center Associate Director Lisa Stewart.
One of the most important aspects of the site is the AskAgs Help Desk, a virtual assistance area that will be remotely manned via Zoom Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Access the help desk if you need more details, specific information, or aren’t sure what resources you need. The AskAgs Help Desk will launch Monday, March 23. If students don’t have Zoom capabilities, they can call into the virtual help desk at 877.853.5247 with meeting ID 645-791-400.
“The staff and faculty across campus are dedicated to supporting our students in every way possible, especially in times of crisis and uncertainty. We hope that the resources we are providing will enable students to continue with their learning and keep them connected to the support they need,” Stewart added.
