More than 60 cadets of the Corps of Cadets, the Navy ROTC and the Strategic Sealift Midshipman Program from Texas A&M University at Galveston arrived at the Battleship Texas State Historic Site recently to partner with personnel from Texas Parks and Wildlife and the U.S.

When Robert Austin Howell (’13) enters a room, he’s poised for the future — Khaki uniform, military bearing and close-cropped hair, he’s spit and polish; tall and strong.

“My job as chancellor is to make sure you have access to resources you need to succeed,” he said. And for students, that means jobs. For maritime cadets, it’s a new training ship and for the campus community it’s support of excellence in research and teaching.
