TAMUG to conduct summer commencement.
TAMUG will hold its Summer Commencement Ceremony at 9 am, August 11 (Saturday) at the Jim and Pat McCloy Arena, Mitchell Campus on Pelican Island. Approximately 50 students will be graduating. This is a record-breaking number for TAMUG summer commencement.
Dr. Samuel Brody will be the convocation speaker. Brody is professor of the George P. Mitchell ’40 Chair in Sustainable Coasts, director of the Center for Texas Beaches and Shores, Department of Marine Sciences at Galveston, Department of Landscape Architecture & Urban Planning at College Station Texas A&M University at College Station.
Directions:
North from I-45
- Proceed directly onto Broadway Boulevard (Avenue J). Take a right at 51st Street.
- Cross the Pelican Island Bridge and follow Sea Wolf Parkway.
- Turn right at Texas Clipper Road (near Valero’s).
- Turn right at the second road and park in available parking places.
- Proceed West past a soccer field on the left following signs to arena, building number 3018.
South from Avenue J
- Proceed west toward the mainland and turn left on 51st Street.
- Follow the same directions above after turning left.
